Facilities
Our American-style barns offer the ideal solution for superior horse care, providing year-round protection from the elements, promoting social interaction, and streamlining daily routines with their efficient design. Your horses will thrive in a well-ventilated, secure environment that allows them to interact with their herd, reducing stress and enhancing their overall well-being. Each stable is equipped with automatic drinkers, ensuring a constant supply of fresh water to keep your horses properly hydrated and healthy.
Secure Grazing
Our yard offers acres of established grazing, designed with the well-being of every horse in mind. All paddocks are enclosed with safe and secure fencing, ensuring peace of mind for owners and maximum safety for horses. With a variety of paddock sizes available, we can accommodate both individual turnout for those requiring a more tailored approach, as well as herd turnout to encourage natural social interaction. This flexibility allows us to provide the right environment for each horse, supporting their safety, comfort, and overall happiness.
Horse Walker
We have installed a new walker which aids in the horses return to work and is the next step from hand walking before turnout or ridden work.

With a wealth of professional horse knowledge Nicola and Philippa can provide your racehorses with top class rehabilitation care. As racehorse owners themselves they understand the need for top class facilities when things don't always go to plan, with this in mind they set up The Racing Retreat.
Nicola has years of experience working with world class racehorse trainers, including Henry Cecil and Ed Walker.

Philippa has a background as a qualified veterinary nurse along with being a practicing IAAT Equine Physiotherapist with a special interest in equine injury prevention and rehabilitation.

Charlotte Aitken - Head Girl
Over 20 years experience running top competition yards. Her care and attention to detail is second to none. She works closely with the vets and is in charge of the daily running of the yard.
